Hungary 2024
My apologies for late writing this week as I've been away, but Heidi proceeded to research and cook all by herself.
Hungary presented various options for sweet delights, but sticking to the theme, Heidi chose to bake pogácsa, sort of a cheese scone, but risen with yeast though it's had no time to prove.
Somehow the Hungarians consider Swiss Gruyère cheese to be appropriate, which is somewhat convenient since there are no Hungarian cheeses available in our supermarket.
They're quite cheesy and more salty than I might choose.
Mixing, mixing and out comes a dough ball. Apparently, there is more to it than this, but she didn't bother taking more photos |
